OTDR क्या है और कैसे काम करता है?

आप में से बहुत लोगों को यह Doubt हमेशा बना रहता होगा कि ये OFC (Optic Fiber Cable) के कट जानें या कुछ उसमें प्रॉब्लम आ जाने से पता कैसे चल पाता है कि कहां पर Cable में ये प्रॉब्लम आ रही होती है ।

आपको बता दें कि इन सब का पता करने के लिए ओटीडीआर डिवाइस (OTDR Device) का प्रयोग किया जाता है । इस आर्टिकल में हम आपको बतायेगें कि OTDR क्या है, ओटीडीआर को उपयोग में क्यों लाया जाता है, ओटीडीआर कैसे काम करता है और ओटीडीआर का फुल फॉर्म क्या होता है ।

आज सभी प्रश्नों का उत्तर ओटीडीआर से संबंधित इस आर्टिकल में आपको मिल जाएंगे तो चलिए दोस्तों इन सभी प्रश्नों के उत्तर एक-एक करके जानते हैं ।

ओटीडीआर क्या होता है ?

ओटीडीआर का फुल फॉर्म -ऑप्टिकल टाइम डोमेन रिफलेक्टो मीटर (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) होता है । OTDR की मदद से ऑप्टिकल फाइबर केबल (OFC) में यदि कोई Cut या Break, मुड़ी हुई Cable का पता करना, गंदे एवं टूटे हुए कनेक्टर, Signal Losses आदि समस्याओं का पता करने के लिए किया जाता है ।

 अर्थात अगर संक्षेप में बताएं तो इसका ओटीडीआर टेस्टर का उपयोग “ओ एफ सी” लिंक में Connectivity Problem को टेस्ट करने और पता करने में किया जाता है । मतलब ओटीडीआर द्वारा Expected Events – जैसे Fiber Ends, Splice, कनेक्टर आदि और Unexpected Events – जैसे Cable Cut आदि का पता लगाने के लिए किया जाता है ।

ओटीडीआर कैसे काम करता है ?

जब भी आप ओटीडीआर में Cable समस्या से संबंधित रिजल्ट पता करते हैं ये रिजल्ट और ओटीडीआर की स्क्रीन पर Cable Connection/Cable Cut/Cable Bend आदि OFC से संबंधित समस्या का पता कर पाते हैं ।

Cable समस्या का परिणाम स्क्रीन पर x- अक्ष पर y- अक्ष में दिखाई देता है, जिसको हम लोग Live देखकर समझ सकते हैं और निष्कर्ष निकाल सकते हैं कि Cable में क्या समस्या आ रही है ।

जब Light Pulses (मीटर में) को Cable के एक End से दूसरे End की तरफ भेजते हैं या फिर Cable Cut, Cable Bend, Unclean एवं Broken Connecter के कारण Light Pulses की वापसी को मतलब Light Pulses को ओटीडीआर के स्क्रीन पर बने ग्राफ में x- अक्ष पर मीटर में दिखाई देता है कि, कितने मीटर तक Light Pulses का आवागमन हुआ है ।

इसी प्रकार y- अक्ष पर जोकि OTDR की स्क्रीन में ग्राफ बना है, उसमें Light Pulses का Power Level दिखाई देता है, जिसको हम लोग डेसिबल (dB) में मापते हैं ।

 

 ओटीडीआर टेस्टर का क्या उपयोग होता है ?

ओटीडीआर Tester का उपयोग Communication में Optic Fiber Cable में समस्या का पता लगाने के लिए, कई जगह उपयोग किया जाता है ।

ओटीडीआर टेस्टर का क्या उपयोग है ?

1. इसको OFC के काटने या OFC में रुकावट आने पर प्रयोग में लाया जाता है ।

2. उस दूरी को पता करने के लिए भी ओटीडीआर को उपयोग में लाया कि लगभग कितनी दूरी पर फाइबर केबल Disconnect है, इसको मीटर में मापा जाता है ।

3. ओटीडीआर की मदद से केबल कनेक्टर का स्टेटस पता करने में किया जाता है कि कितनी दूरी पर कनेक्टर टूटा हुआ है या कनेक्टर साफ सुथरा नहीं है ।

4. ओटीडीआर का उपयोग OFC के तीव्र मुडने या टूटने में उपयोग में लाया जाता है । साथ ही साथ फाइबर केबल लिंक में 2 पॉइंट के बीच की दूरी को पता लगाने में भी उपयोग में लाया जाता है ।

5. अगर OFC गलत तरीके से जमीन में बिछाई (Lay Out) गई है जिसके कारण कुछ Light Leaking होती हैं, उसको भी पता करने में OTDR का उपयोग होता है ।

6. अगर Fiber Path Cards अलग-अलग प्रकार के या गलत Core Size में उपयोग में लाया गया है, तो इसका पता करने में भी OTDR का उपयोग किया जाता है ।

7. OFC के कनेक्शन का Problem पता करने में भी इसका उपयोग किया जाता है जोकि End To End Link Losses, Optical Return Losses, Point Of High Losses जैसे Signal Losses को पता करने में किया जाता है ।

8. अलग-अलग प्रकार की Cable अर्थात् Mismatched Fiber Cable को पता करने में भी प्रयोग किया जाता है । जैसे 62.5 mm एवं 50 mm को अगर एक साथ Connect कर दिया जाए तो OTDR से पता चल जाएगा ।

अलग-अलग एवं Mismatched फाइबर केबल होने पर Light Signal की तीव्रता प्रभावित होती है । उपयुक्त समस्या आने पर सिग्नल पावर प्रभावित होता है जिस कारण संचार प्रभावित होता है
